Annie
Annie is the happiest creature we have ever known. She loves to chase everything that flies; she can play with, but not harm a small frog in the garden for an hour at a time. She loves her toys and the people in her life with great abandon, she can guard over a bowl of food for two hours after the family and other animals at home have gone to bed.
Annie has not had a very stable life, but is very adaptable. Her first owner received her as a gift from his grandchildren because they knew he loved Chessies and thought it would help him adapt to his new home and retirement. He named her Annie after his last Chessie. He very lovingly but quickly accepted that his small fenced in terrace and condominium was no home for an animal of such size and spirit and gave her to Lisa who at that time lived in a home with a large yard and woods to explore. In her first six months with Lisa, she fell off a roof, ran away to Radnor Lake and had many adventures before learning to stay in her yard. Her mother adored her for three years before making a move to a large city. Knowing that Annie needed a yard and water to be happy, Lisa left Annie here in Franklin with her grandparents. For five years she has been with us, regularly swimming in ponds and the Harpeth and running through nearby fields. Through all of Annie's fun with her grandparents, her mother missed her greatly.
Lisa recently returned to Tennessee and is searching for rental property or a great small investment home where Annie can live as happily as she has with her grandparents. If anyone knows of a good home for Annie and Lisa in the Nashville, Green Hills, Belmont, Granny White, Forest Hills, West Meade, Sylvan Park area, please feel free to leave a message here for Annie's grandfather and her mother will call you. Annie deserves a wonderful place to live.
